Where a significant risk of harm from chemicals or other substances has been identified, employers must provide their employees with appropriate information, instruction and training.
This CIEH course includes the following:
- Understanding the requirements of the COSHH regulations
- Types of substances hazardous to health
- Health effects and how these can be avoided
- Employer and employee responsibilities
- Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment
There is a short multiple choice examination on completion of the course and a certificate is awarded to successful candidates by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
